The Wrightsville-Columbia 4th of July Celebration is proudly organized by a dedicated group of local volunteers known as the Fireworks Committee. This team is made up of local government officials, public safety personnel, business owners, and community members—neighbors who care deeply about creating a safe, memorable, and meaningful celebration for all.
The committee meets throughout the year to plan, fund, and execute every detail of the event—from coordinating fireworks and entertainment to securing permits, managing vendors, and ensuring public safety. Their behind-the-scenes work makes the magic of Independence Day possible.
For the past four years, the committee has been led by Wrightsville Borough Council Member Eric White, whose leadership and commitment have helped the event grow into one of the area's most anticipated annual traditions. This celebration is truly a labor of love—and a reflection of the strong community spirit that makes Wrightsville and Columbia so special.
